Meet Nina. She’s signed up to volunteer at one of our six Information tents from 8pm on June 9 to 6am on June 10. I recently asked her to tell me a little about herself. Here’s what she had to say:

A brief bio?

I’m a Web + Multimedia Environments major at MCAD. In other words, I’m studying to be an interactive developer / game designer / creative coder.

What’s your favorite thing to do/see/experience in the Twin Cities?

My best friend and I usually take a few hours out of our week to hit up some food place we’ve heard about (a buffet, more often than not) and find Minneapolis’s best eats. I’m also a huge fan of the relative flatness for bike rides.

Did you attend Northern Spark last year?

Unfortunately, my schedule had me in Philadelphia (my home town) for Northern Spark last year. However, I did have a hand in helping Christopher Baker with his Waste Not projection.

What about Northern Spark 2012 are you most looking forward to?

Since this is my first all-night art festival ever, all of it!

Why did you decide to volunteer?

A lot of my professors / colleagues / friends have either shown, are showing, or want to show at Northern Spark. Obviously being a volunteer means helping make sure all of this gets to happen – and maybe one day I’ll be showing art at the festival, too!
