Performers for Vokskuil-Sayre project
Dancer and choreographer Vanessa Voskuil and multimedia artist, Scott Sayre and are currently looking for 20 volunteer participants for a 10-15min movement-based, media performance event to be presented by Northern Spark at the Walker Art Center on June 9, 2012. Each performer will possess and manipulate an Apple iPad, which will contain a pre-programmed visual score ranging from a dark or solid color screen to a component of a large video mosaic.
Participants do not necessarily need performance training to participate, however, will be engaging in an active movement-based rehearsal process that will include, but not limited to, jumping, rolling, running, crawling, and walking individually and as an ensemble. We are looking for people who own and are willing to use their own Apple iPad for the project, however, if you do not own one there are also some available. iPad protectors will be provided for all. Potential performers will need to be available for all rehearsals.
